Act I Scene I In a tall peaceful monastery hidden in thick woods, there is a single dim light on near the bottom floor.  It soon turns off.  The door to that room, an ancient heavy oak door, creaks open.  A young man in his early twenties with a dark brooding face stands in the entrance.  He has rectangular glasses and is dressed in simple clothes.  The light from the oil lamp in the hallway falls on a sleeping young woman's face in the room and the empty twin bed next to her.  Eli looks back at his sister Lacey, then hefts his small canvas bag, silently closes the door, and softly walks away.  The immense monastery doors are not bolted and
